Tesla and Snape

January 2016 and we have already said goodbye to two internationally famous British-born icons. While still reeling from the news that David Bowie had died, we were hit with the news that Alan Rickman had also departed.

Tesla, Starman, Major Tom, Jareth the Goblin King, The Man Who Fell To Earth … these are all aspects of David Bowie that we can revisit via film or music. He was a competent (award-winning) actor as well as having an amazing talent for creative and innovative musical arrangements and productions.

Hans Gruber, Alexander Dane, The Sheriff of Nottingham, the voice of Marvin the robot and, of course, Severus Snape … Alan Rickman‘s characters ranged from scary to comedic, causing audiences to laugh, loathe and love them. His understated acting style, meant that he was perfect in a supporting role – as Harry, Jamie and those listed above. His new film “Eye In The Sky” will be released in a few weeks.
